About
First, let me introduce myself… My name is Ian Borders. I am what I guess alot of people would call, a serial entrepreneur. I have been through a who slew of building businesses since I was 14, endeavors that include a record label, recording studio, baby clothes store, a pre-iTunes web startup for purchasing single songs, a restaurant, and boutique web development company. Many with much success and just as many if not more where I barely made it out alive by the skin of my teeth.
Now I am 29 and run an incubator called BreakTheGrid out of my current location in Northern Thailand where I take my business ideas and with the help of my (mostly outsourced) staff, managed virtually around the globe and turn them into real direct-to-market products. Some of our current project include SHERPA, a set of metrics tools used to help increase sales conversions, and ChopstickDojo, a super cool iPad game.
That brings us to this blog vCEO (virtual CEO). I created this blog in order pass on my experience which may hopefully help others along their path to becoming successful lifestyle entrepreneurs, as well as talk about my current trials and tribulations while I am building and growing the BreakTheGrid portfolio. I also hope to bring in some other vCEO‘s to add their experiences as well. Our core focuses will be on Lifestyle Design, Outsourcing, Managing a Virtual Business, Product Creation, Marketing, and the like.

Hey Ian,
Thanks for the info! (Especially the Labuan stuff). Are you familiar with Simon Black? If not, you should be! I highly recommend subscribing to his free newsletter. He rocks.
